Raquel Natalicchio

Raquel Natalicchio is an independent photojournalist based in Los Angeles who documents social issues, including local stories, political mobilization and migration at the US/Mexico border. Her work focuses on the universality of the humanity, including themes of love, struggle, resilience and community. She is currently working on a long term project called “Borderlands” that explores the rich diversity of experiences in border communities along the US/Mexico border.

Raquel discovered photography in an after school arts program and it changed her life. As a result, one of her passions is working in education, developing photography curricula centered around themes like self love for teen girls. She is passionate about community building and has produced several talks, panel discussions and exhibitions for the photographic community in Los Angeles, CA.

Raquel is a contributor to Zuma Press and a member of Diversify Photo and NPPA.
