Ms. Yellow
Ms.Yellow (Nuria Ortiz) is a self-taught Mexican-American muralist and teaching artist from Carson, California. She has dedicated her time to the creative development and empowerment of communities, working closely with schools, cities, organizations & more to develop art workshops, murals & mentorship to the youth. She has taught various art classes and painted murals (with the community or alone) all over the world, most recently in Poland in Lodz and Bielsko-Biała for 20 days. Her murals and artwork have been displayed​ in museums, galleries, and streets throughout the United States and around the world such as Egypt, Haiti, Japan, Poland, Peru, Spain, France, Australia and Mexico, centering on themes such as culture, folklore, sisterhood, education, unity, love and social justice. Ms.Yellow has also partnered up with various commercial organizations to create original artworks for the Getty Museum, Apple, Doritos/ NFL/ Superbowl LVI, Angel City FC, LA Galaxy, Long Beach Airport, SoundCloud, POW WOW Long Beach, METRO, Women's Shelter of Long Beach, El Paso Museum of Art, and the Museum of Latin American Art.
